Program mod needed for blind spot warning
You make good points zbigzbig. I really don't see, as do most others as well, Toyota / Lexus as a leader in technology advancements. They study, test, develop, plan for the future, but don't typically come out with new tech that others others haven't already been using. That's what results in their car designs having fewer repair issues and lasting so long. But, I really can't see their logic, as you have pointed out, not to trigger a beep combined with the light for the BSM system other than they can say the RX has it because you pay more for an RX, when other non premium cars have it.
I also find all of the beeps that do occur are really not that loud at all, in fact I frequently can barely hear it with the music playing or the windows down. Why not cut off the music completely not just lower it, so that you can here it. All things considered there's just too many beeps being used.
I believe the auto stop feature you mention is mandated by regulations, if they put one in place, you can have a button to defeat it. But it must reset every time you start the car in order to qualify for a better EPA rating for fuel efficiency.

If there was a beep whenever a vehicle entered the blind spot area this forum would have hundreds of posters asking how you turn it off.
I can't think of anything more annoying than the car beeping at you every time the blind spot indicator was activated. On busy motorway run it'd be torture.

A bit off the subject, my 2022 EU Mazda CX-5 (Homura trim) also has the same Stop-Start feature, but when A/C is on, it's automatically disabled. A more reasonable logic than in my 2026 NX, where once activated on red light, Stop-Start kicks-off A/C.
Yes, no EPA regulations in Briton and EU or anywhere else, except Canada typically accepts EPA compliance regulations so we have it setup as such on cars in Canada.
If you re-read my post, you will understand that I don't need to re-read anything.... as I do not care who did what.
Sensationalism and drama aside. Move on... Someone doesn't like what you said. They said something back. Who cares? Random people on the internet talk crap. Push buttons and "Troll" away. You can ignore them or set the forums to ignore them for you. Words on a page, from randoms in the wild.
Now, Carry on.

If you set up this feature "Ignore List" on your profile does that keep him from seeing your posts? Cause I don't want him seeing my posts and continuing to talk smack about me. Then I would be oblivious to his antagonistic responses to my comments. The guy is a real Ice Hole to many and seems to run unchecked around here.

Just purchased NX350 to discover that a beep-warning of adjacent car in the blind spot doesn't exist. You just need to watch left and right mirrors to see if the warning signs are on and/or blinking (when a left of right turn signal is on). That's a highly dangerous method when you drive on a busy, multilane highway. Yet, it would be so easy for Lexus to add a programming line that triggers acoustic warning for blind spot cars when we want to change lane and have the turn signal on. All hardware and wiring exists, just a tiny program mod is needed. I have that on my Mazda and other cars, and that a great safety feature.
Driving on very busy, multilane highways, not only around Miami or Tampa areas, where some cars emerge from behind speeding at ~100 mph, I avoided many near-misses in my 2019 Mazda CX-5 equipped with the beep warning feature. Continuous checking of left and right mirror for 'blinking' light within each fraction of a second is also a recipe for traffic disaster. The outcome is predictable, Florida tops the stats for fatalities/mile of highway. The age of rural, nordic roads is gone. Perhaps that's the reason Lexus RX has the acoustic warning, but few programming lines added to Lexus NX computers would solve the NX safety problem in 5 minutes.
We have similar fast traffic in 4 or 5 lanes in Houston; changing lanes can sometimes be dangerous.
The Lexus NX 350h does not have an audible warning. To me, this is an oversight because, as others have mentioned, the RX provides this feature, albeit, a more expensive Lexus. Also, Toyota in some of there are some models, a specific example, the gen5 Prius ( year 2023 -present), which provides a visual warning ( not too obnoxious ) and becomes a visual and audible warning both when you have your turn signal on. This, to me, is the ideal solution.
Sadly, the gen2 NX (years 2022 -present) doesn't have this feature. The newest NX software update 2320, June 2025, does not contain any blind spot monitoring update. IMHO, I don't think NX is going to change their current BSM to add audible when the turn signal is active.
YMMV,

After just spending over $50k on a brand new, "luxury" NX350, I don't care what "they" will or will not refresh in the 2027 models, esp. that we're talking about adding mere few programming lines to enable the audio-warning of blind-spot vehicle. Moreover, I'm willing to spend extra few hundred dollars at Lexus shop, if that's required, but this safety upgrade is critical on the roads I'm using. Customer loyalty and good will are built and may last only on this type of cooperation.
