Not sure if this is the correct forum since the Lexus Infotainment is used across models. My gripe is the GPS always forces a certain route and doesn't account for distance or time or both. I might be missing something, for example, a 2 mile route on streets always forces me to go on the freemway for perhaps 3 miles and supposed quicker arrival time.

 

We use Waze (part of Google Maps) via Carplay in the car. These programs show multiple routes with/with out tolls and time. Additionally, they will show a crash or slowdown and reroute you automatically.

In both of our cars Acura/Lexus we never use the vehicle mapping system. They are inherently flawed and don't keep up with changes.
