digital iphone key
Moved from RX350 to 2026 NX350. Truly enjoy the handling, comfort and overall technology. My puhcase included technology package. Easy to set it up on iphone.
My challenge is the connection using this device is inconsistent. If app is offline, then need to reconnect which can take a few steps to log in. Once connected, there is a 10 second or more delay for vehicle to recognize the digital iphone key.
Any feedback, thoughts or recommendations is appreciated. I am a tech geek and the infotainment takes time to figure it all out.
Thanks,
David

Your experience is fairly typical, once you get used to the system you'll find it to generally be just adequate at best. I mean, its pretty at first, its reasonably responsive, it does the basics well enough, but the fancier features leave a fair number of people still wanting...

On a related note: since the last update to the Lexus app, I have found that the app doesn't automatically log me in (using facial recognition) reliably and I often have to use the dual factor to log back in. Kind of a nuisance since you have to have that app up for the digital key to work.
Not a feature I use at all. I've installed and reference the app occasionally, but when my subscription expires I'l be ok without it and all it's fragmented faults and delays, and updates that really don't make it run any smother. I had my '22 receive the latest safety update (Limited Service Campaign L91) bringing on the Proactive Driving Assist feature. My app still shows it as being an active service campaign, well I had the work done about a month ago it it hasn't cleared off the app yet. So either the app isn't getting any realistic communication from the Lexus Gods or it's just a dead end push out statement of the campaign, with no checking to see if my vehicle needs it still. I bet it'll sit there till my subscription runs out for the app in Nov '25.
I have a card key and two fobs as well. Got too much crap in my wallet already, so I've no desire to squish in the card key too. I have no problem using my key fob, I'm happy to use it. It gives me plenty of warning when the battery is getting weaker and has never let me down. MY 12 volt battery in the car is another story though.
