Wheel bolt to stud conversion?
Just wondering if anyone has converted from bolts to studs? Might be a solution for the corrosion issue cited in another thread, and prevent some expensive cross-threading.

The wife runs it thru the dealer service for now, including rotations. Makes me wonder how many times stripping could happen. If it does, or simply worn out after all the rotations, I’ll bite the bullet, possibly drill the hubs as a toolmaker, and pull in studs. Would be a good amount of work honestly tho. OTOH, I do intend to keep the car for +15 yrs, so…

A simpler way, done my folks such as BMW track day fans, is just screw in the studs using RED Locktite - the stuff that requires 500degF to remove…
I also have the service contract, and even though it’s a Lexus dealer, I’m suspicious that the tire handlers might not be all that careful threading the bolts.
