How do you drive your 450h+
LSFT did a nice vid on driving styles.
When I drive on the highway, I will be in HV mode. In the winter I have been driving mostly in HV mode to recharge the Hybrid battery as I remote start my car to defrost the windows for 20 minutes.
I fill my tank once it has a little less than 1/4 tank which is about 4.5 gallons of gas in the system left (2 for use and 2.5 in reserve. So I put about 10 gallons in when I refuel. This also gives me points with the Gas Station. You have to purchase a minimum of 10 gallons for reward points and I still have ICE cars too so the points help. I prefer putting the car in Sport Mode when I drive HV as it keeps the Hybrid Battery Charged better than standard and EV mode. in Sport mode, it keeps the battery charged to where I have about 31 miles of EV range.

I've only had my NX 450h+ for a few weeks and have been intentionally going into HV mode to break-in the ICE. I was using Sport mode so I could monitor the Tach so it's good to no there are other benefits to Sport mode.
When driving on the highway for distances longer than the EV range, would it be advised to run in HV mode before getting onto the highway to allow the engine to warm up to operating temps or does it not matter? I would think starting up the engine cold while driving highway speeds would cause unnecessary wear on a cold engine.
