I would definitely get the top trim pieces for a clean look. The spare tire cushion is also nice to have but you can put foam blocks in its place.
I ordered the trim pieces last week and just received email that they shipped them today.
I ordered from Lexus Parts Outlet, they had the best price I could find at the time. Over & Out
With the new Trim Pieces installed I made a support shelf of 1/2" plywood and attached it to the trunk floor.
See photos, it leaves plenty of room for a Jack, breaker bar, air pump & repair kit.
Now I just have to paint it -

This is by far is the Best I have seen for DIY under the deck Spare Carrier. I had hoped to do something like this but wasn't sure if the Spare would fit under a flat platform and still allow for the floor to cover flat and level. I was afraid the spare would be too wide/thick for the decklid to lay flat.

The Lexus deck cover fits in perfectly with the ModernSpare installed
Verify and get what you want. The Gen2 Lexus NX bolt pattern is 5x114.3. Any thing that size will work.
YMMV,

Sorry , I quoted bolt. I did not get or need the alignment tool; I was just trying to be helpful.
My wife ordered from Amazon for me, here's a copy of the page. I bought two, really only need one though.
FYI, two are really useful for anyone doing tire rotations (where you might have 2 wheels off the vehicle at one time) vs just being prepped for spare tire usage. I rotated my NX tires myself for the first time last week (dealer did it the first couple times) and it was the first time for me on a car with lug bolts using alignment pins. I was really happy with how easy the pins make it, much easier than the older lug nut style. On my old RX the wheels were so heavy and trying to get them to line up with all 5 studs was such an effort. Now on the NX its a lot easier just to lift the tire onto the one alignment pin and then much easier just line it up and shove it all the way up to the rotor.
I've changed my mind about lug bolts.
Now if only generative AI could spell "they're" correctly.
Perfect! Thanks. I need this for a road trip. Will just secure it in the back. No room under since I will have a 350h.
Ecuse my ignorance. “ Breaker bar and alignment pins”?
Pins are extra (mine were). I bought a good quality breaker and sockets. Do not depend on the one that comes with the Kit. Buy 2 pins...it eases the process when mounting/

Did you have a 12 volt batter in the back trunk under the cargo cover? Where is your 12 volt battery ?
