Default Network busy...

We took our 24 NX450h+ for the first service yesterday. About two weeks ago the car was asking for our PIN and the saying the network was busy and not letting us log in. We could not use the Lexus navigation or even really see the screen as the PIN keyboard kept coming up.
We talked about all this with the Service Advisor and showed her what was happening and she said it was our phones. We went back and forth a bit and she said she would have the technician run a diagnostic.
We got back from lunch and the car was ready with no problems found on the diagnostic tests. The SA did offer to confirm that everything now worked and in the car got the Network busy message again. She got a tech out to the car and he tried it, went and talked to someone else, and said the "radio" needed to be replaced. We left our NX and came home (hour drive) in a RX500h FSport, a very nice car but won't fit in our garage.
We did get our second Key Fob, so that was nice. We are hoping that solves some of our issues with the NX not changing profiles and seat position.
Hoping the radio replacement is a quick fix and solves our problem.

Sounds like the vehicle had trouble with the cellular mobile network, but whether the issue is the head unit or if the cellular communications module tough to say. I'm not even sure the two are separate units or together, but if they replace the head unit and it still isn't fixed, ask about the communications module (I think its called a DCM, but so many acronyms that could be what other mfgs call their telematics module).

If the SOS lights are green then the communication to the servers is fine. Could be something wrong with the Lexus server end.

The SA called me yesterday afternoon and said there was nothing wrong with the car. The techs had put the system in Guest Mode and everything worked.

So, back we went this morning and got our 450h+. I was able to enter my pin when prompted, and it worked without the Network busy message. The SA said they didn't do anything to the car, but MANY settings were cleared or changed from my profile so I am suspicious that something was reset to get it working.

No one at the dealer wanted to help us get the new key fob associated with my wife's profile, so we drove home and set it up in our driveway with help from Lexus phone tech support.

Hopefuly all is well now and the PIN promt and the Network busy... message sill not be an issue in the future.

You got the Corporate Lexus answer when they don't know what is wrong, "Remove and Replace". if you can, find another better Lexus dealership.

YMMV,
