We didn't notice before getting ours, otherwise might have been able to negotiate to have that included.

In looking at https://parts.lexus.com
We didn't see this as available, it only has NX models through MY2021.
Has anyone else purchased wheel lock lug nut set who might have recommendations for us?
For 2025, wheel locks for the NX 20 inch wheels are not lug nuts. They’re lug Bolts. We did “builds” on two different sites and whel locks were available on one and not the other. ??? Anyway, you can purchase them at your local dealer which we did at delivery.

Since 2022 the NX has lug bolts. Not just 2025. Lexus has been changing the specs every year it seems. But at the end it's lug bolts for the 2nd gen NX.

McGard 28374 is NOT the correct one for both the Gen 2 NX and the Gen 5 RX, as previous specified. The ball seat radius area is not really the same.

The radius on Lexus is 14 mm I believe, there are slew of different radiuses out there 14, 15 and 16. Keep in mind this type of lug bolt has been around for years on German makes like BMW Audi and Mercedes so you might be able to find something from that pool that matches the Lexus needs.

This guy has a good way to determine what your radius is by buying ball bearings to match various radii. https://www.clubtouareg.com/threads/...asured.299570/

Please make sure you have a correct match for the details of the lock bolts or regular lug bolts for your Lexus rims. Most important is the ball seat radius as shown with pictures in post #28 above. NX is a 14mm radius there are other size radii available so make sure you've got the right fit. Failure to not get this right and you risk the wheel coming loose and falling off! I would always go with a dealer fitment. If your local Lexus dealer doesn't know the details of the wheel bolts on a Lexus NX they're buffoons.

I finally got my dealer to confirm which locking lug bolts are appropriate for the '25 NX. It is the same as '24 (different than '23 and prior).

See comparison below. Assembled without issue. Made by McGard.

Why does your set with the same labeled part number have bolts? The linked set does not.

Wheel locks always seem like more trouble than they are worth. I can't remember the last time a saw stolen wheels vs. just the whole car. That coupled with how many stripped and stuck locks we've had to charge customers to remove I struggle to see the value.

Lexus parts website always shows generic stock photos, not model specific. The link is correct, per my photo. Feel free to call a dealer if you're concerned.

Unfortunately, that’s untrue. The locks my dealer showed me for that model number were exactly what is online. That’s why it’s confusing that what you purchased doesn’t have a separate model number.

And the Switch from Lug Nuts to Lug Bolts makes it even more important that cross threading and stripping does not happen. In the Past one could just replace the stripped Stud Bolt and Lug Nut. Now you would have to replace the whole wheel assembly. I bought the Lock Bolts, but never installed them. It is also harder to remove and install wheels without the alignment pin and bolt holder.

When was the last time you saw a house fire? They happen every day. There are probably millions/billions of examples of other things you don’t see that happen somewhere every day.

Stolen wheels and tires are up as much as 30% in some areas in 2025. Those and catalytic converters are easier to steal and more untraceable than stealing the whole car. The cost makes the crime more of a slap on the wrist in many areas, too.

Everyone can decide the risk/reward ratio for themselves.

@phryxus

Do you know if the 2025 NX wheels’ tapped holes are threaded to the end? I may have found another option, but it depends on this.

One way to find out is get underneath and look at the back side of the wheel hub where they should have the five holes. Use video on your phone and stick it behind wheel to see. I know I had to buy different bolts for my winter rims and they used bolts that were 1/2" longer. I don't know for sure if the extra 1/2" was for the fact that the rim was thicker or not. I just know they work and don't c\have any issues.
