The hybrid MAX system that's in 500h models I mentioned, that's mating a hybrid system with a 6spd auto. We'll have to see where that goes over time, its quite new still. I think the CVT will stay for smaller or lower powered cars, and the MAX will be used for larger or higher powered cars. But whether is suitable for PHEV, that's an even more interesting question.

This is available for some of the driver assist features (excessive speed warning comes to mind), but not for the BSM.

 

I have a 2024 nx350h and it needs a trailer wiring connector! Paid extra $200 for towing pkg but there's no wiring for small trailer lights! Lexus, please add this to next years but also send me a solution for my 2024.

You got a Lexus. Go out and buy a decent leather conditioner. It will work wonders on your leatherette dash and NuLuxe if you don’t have leather. And it’ll do it without leaving a shiny grease coating on the dash.

 

Yep, I got the Lexus. I am very gentle but nevertheless, it does scratch/scuff quite easily. I’ve tried myriad products — including NuLuxe which did NOT work. 🙄

The bottom line is the dash material is SUBPAR for a Luxury brand. Also, this is my third NX and dash scratch/abrasion has Never been an issue with the previous generation.

 

It's nice they give you a storage area for your sunglasses as most cars today do but if the sunglasses would only fit inside. Any owners able to use this little compartment?

 

It was an interesting dilemma at first. The sunglass area is smaller than most other cars. But I tried a second or maybe third time and it will actually hold sunglasses. My advice is try again patiently and you might be surprised as I was, they will actually fit.

Agree 100%! Anyone in product planning even try to put a pair of Ray Bans or Serengeti’s in this tiny little cubby? None of my glasses fit in there!

 

Tried but my sunglasses were too big for it also. So it's not useful glass holder for me.

 

I gave up on my sunglasses holder a long time ago, I got myself one of these visor holders and never been happier haha

If you're meaning the 360 degree monitor, I have a work around. I've set it to auto so every time I slow down it comes on automatically. This saves all the fumbling to try and hit the button right when you need to be paying attention to what you don't want to hit!
