Welcome message gone?
OK, this is super silly, but still!
I'm the only driver of my car and I have a profile and a key linked to it. It used to be (everytime, I think?) I got into the car the dash (not the infotainment system) would display "Welcome, Tom" and now it doesn't. Anyone else notice if there's a rhyme or reason to this?
The infotainment system displays my name once the car is on and the bluetooth connects to my phone.

Actually, I figured it out. I have the 2024 NX350h. If I unlock the car by pushing a button on the key fob, it works. If I just get in the unlocked car (in my garage), or unlock the car by touching the door handle (even if I'm just carrying one key) - it doesn't work. Don't you think it would be smart enough to know it's me each time I get in the car with the fob without having to physically push the fob unlock button?
I just got the second key from Lexus, and I'm trying to figure out how to make that load my partner's serttings. It's all very unintuitive. You have to make a profile for the second person in the app on the phone? Then log into that profile on the infotainment system in the car and assign that key (when it's the only key nearby) to them? But what if both people get in the car with both keys? How does it know who is driving? What if only my phone is connected to the infotainment system - will the car say "welcome Melissa" and use her seat settings, but the bluetooth and all that is set to me? Or what if she also connects her phone to bluetooth and we both get in the car with our phones - how will it know whose text messages to play through Android Auto?
If it were me, I'd have it so that if it senses both keys entering the car, and/or both phones in the car, when you start up the screen would say "Use the car settings from ..." and give a button for each person, and "Use infotainment settings from ..." and same thing. So you could go "tap" on Melissa, and she'd have her seat positions, HUD preferences, etc. and "tap" on Tom and it would play music from my phone, etc.

That would sound ideal. When 2 people enter the vehicle then the vehicle should be asking the driver at start up whose profile do you want to load this person name or that persons name? It would certainly help the user experience.
The profiles thing sounds very convoluted.
