It seems to vary by manufacturer, the type of damage, and how much the car was driven with very low pressure.

Lightbulb Replacement Tires

RFTs are just like regular tires only with stiffer sidewalls, about 9 lbs more weight per tire and a much shorter tread life. .if you get normal flat ) complete loss of tire pressure due to tread puncture) you can drive up to 50 miles at up to 50 mph. However , if you drive on a flat RFT then you must replace it.

Actually the original 20 " OEM tires, Bridgestone Alenza A/S 02 Run Flat has a reasonable treadwear 400, with Traction A and Temperature A
or
other OEM Bridgestone Alenza -01 RFT treadwear 300, with Traction A and A temperature A

However , one of the better replacements Michelin CrossClimate2 60,000 mile warranty Treadwear 640, Traction B and Temperature 8
another good replacement Michelin Primacy A/S (non RFT) 55,000 mile warranty treadwear: N/A, Traction B and Temperature A.

another good replacement Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season (non RFT) treadwear: 500, Traction A and Temperature A.

or if you are looking for a sport tire for your F-sport ( not long wear, sorry )
Pirelli P Zero PZ4 Sport (non RFT) treadwear: 280, Traction AA and Temperature A.

Remember with AWD when one tire goes bad you must replace all 4 tires because the diameter of the new tire is greater than the other 3 tires because it has new unused tread.

YMMV,

If you are basing on traction, isn't A better than B. Just a rating or difference is a lot?

How much Michelin doesn't have RFT out there much?

It's not full time AWD, right?

Better replacement tire is the 245/50R20-102V Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3, UTQG 800 AA. I put a set on in January 23, probably the best set of tires I've ever owned. The OEM run flats are in my garage with 1,047 miles on them, I will put them back on the NX when I get rid of it this year.

Yes, also great tire 70,000 mile warranty However, it is a heavier tire at 32 lbs. per tire and therefore mpg will be less. I personally chose the Michelin Cross climate 2, less weight 29.19 lbs and provides a premium i.e. better ride IMHO.

But either is a much ,much better choice than a RFT.

Ps. - Why are you getting rid of NX ? Going with a Prius, a Prius gen 5 ( 2023 - ) is an awesome car.

Only Toyota product I have ever owned in 60+ years----------------and will be the last.
Actually MPG is better running 36.5psi cold, the car is my wife's and doesn't get driven much (22 350 Lux. with just over 4,000 miles). As to why I'm getting rid of it is because of the overkill/unnecessary Tech and other things. Would have bought another BMW but it was impossible to find an X4 at the time. Our X6 is just a bit large for my wife.

Hope someone from Lexus sees this. They assume they can charge more by loading the car with cheap & gimmicky tech. Most people don’t want the tech but put up with it because they have to. The irony is that I think they actually followed BMW!

LOL, I had a BMW once, M3, and when it wasn't at the dealer which was very often, it ran great. My BMW was not very reliable, something was always going wrong with it.

Too each his own, I personally love Toyota/Lexus. I think "cheap & gimmicky tech" is a little harsh and untrue .... well except for the profile issue.

I actually like some of the tech and safety features that Lexus/Toyota have on the vehicle. If the tech isn't needed, just get a Rav4 please or some other brand. Why spend the $$$$ for the NX if you aren't going to use the features.

The "tech" in the BMW is much more user friendly. Toyota/ Lexus appears to just throw stuff at the car and see what sticks--------------------why do I need the car to tell me who I am? Why do my wife and me need a profile with a pin number, does Lexus think I'm going to get up at 3AM and sneak out and change her settings? And on and on.

I came from an Audi, whose in-car nav’s and interface design was the best i could get circa 2014 - thought-through design with enough customizations I liked. After having replaced almost every mechanical subsystem due to failures arising from poor design/manufacturing that mostly under warranty cost at least 25 % of the MSRP of the car (shared between Audi under warranty and also myself outside warranty), I happily rid myself of it at Carmax last week.

The experience taught me to appreciate reliable design more than annoyances. That was my first and last German car (not counting Porsche in this unreliability bag).

Sadly yes for all NX. If you get the hybrid, there's a 12V battery in the back trunk so no room for spare unless you put it on top in the trunk which will take extra space. The vehicle tires can be changed to conventional tires also.
