I got an email from Lexus my 2nd key would be available in December. They would notify me by mail. Are most of you waiting for the letter or are you bugging the dealer about it? So far no letter.
If you received any notice and are really looking forward to it, I would call the dealer and tell them you received notice. I get the feeling that the notices aren't really saying there is a shiny new key with your name on it waiting for you with a big red bow on it under the tree, but instead merely "permission to request" a key from the dealer, and it'll be up to the dealer to make sure they (only then) set one aside or order one for you. I recently received this notice on my Lexus app and not sure if I'll receive any other notice. On my next service I'll just be sure to mention it ahead of the booking to ensure they have one ready for me at the time. A colleague of mine who bought an NX from the same dealer as me a few months before, received his key this summer with zero notice. He went in for regular service and they said "oh, we have your other key now". His response, "what key, oh that one". He had completely forgotten about it. LOL

When my letter came, I called the dealership where I get the car serviced and told them about the letter. They said they would contact Lexus and arrange for the fob. We scheduled a service visit for 2 weeks out. They fob was there when I arrived. It took about an hour as they program the car/fob and wash the car. I guess that's what Lexus does to try to compensate us for the wait.
That's where the fun ended. Although the fob was programmed and did the basic functions, the dealership did not fully program all the features. I thought they did. The fob still does not set the seat, mirrors and steering wheel to the selected position for my wife, who uses the new fob. I understand this should happen automatically when either of us gets into the car. Hopefully your dealership has the technical chops to do that for you. I need to find another dealership to get this done.
I bought my car at the end of July and complained to my dealer about a month ago and he said there was nothing he could do and had me call Lexus corporate. They told me I was slated to get one in Q1 next year (so, 6-9 mo from purchase).
when I schedule my 5k miles service I asked the SA if the 2nd key is available during my visit. He checked and they are able to get one for me. Then magically the app shows my 2nd key is available.
Bought the NX350h on April 23 and got the second key on first week of December.
