Default 2025 NX 450h+ Battery

Any news on the 2025 NX 450h+ Battery, any chance they would increase the battery size at all to get more than 37 miles out of a single charge?

Looking to purchase a NX 450h+ F-Sport and wondering if there's a possibility of upgrading the battery, especially with the RZ just coming out offering 220 miles on a single charge.....

2025 could be a mid cycle refresh. I do not see them adding more battery capacity to increase the miles. Many owners experience more than 37 miles out of the 18.1kWh battery; however, you are comparing a PHEV vs a BEV. You can't expect a PHEV having 220 miles out of a 73 kWh battery. We can see what happens to the 2025 RAV4 Prime to see if the upcoming NX refresh would get anything bigger. If they use different battery chemistry, it might get more density then meaning with the same weight and size, they can get more power, then it will increase the range. New tech could also help on efficiency making it more range.

FWIW in SoCal (very forgiving temperature environment) I regularly get 41-42 on a charge when I'm commuting. Not much secret to it, I cruise on the brief highway time I have at 70 instead of 75, and just take it easy otherwise. It's a commute after all. Having owned Teslas I was surprised at how honest the Lexus range estimates are in comparison. On the Teslas 30 miles of charge was "find a charger right this second before the car turns off" territory =).
