A/C Peculiarity
Occasionally the A/C in my 2022 350h does not work. I’ve discovered that using the auto setting and then doing some manual changing to temp and fan speed iwill often shutoff cooling. No further button pushing or even a system reset will bring back the cooling. What has been required is to exit the car, lock it, and then re-enter and restart. The A/C will work normally then in auto mode.
I’m guessing an auto and manual mix is the issue. Voice commands don’t engender these problems.

That is correct. If you put it in Auto then make any change it takes it OFF of Auto. My wife does it constantly and I get in the car and roast. I look down and Auto is OFF. I ask her and she says she didn't touch it. But she did adjust the fan speed. I have to tell her every time that when she touches it it turns Auto OFF. She may understand it one day.
Through all the Toyota's and Lexus vehicles I've had, I've learned just to use the temp control to control fan speed. The NX HVAC auto is a bit better than the one in my RX was, the auto was really anything but. Best HVAC auto I've had was in a Subaru, I had a Crosstrek for 18 months before selling to daughter, the entire time I had that car the HVAC was set auto 21C and never, ever had to touch it except for defogger buttons. Goldilocks drives a Subaru.

LOL, well, it wasn't quite like that. I liked it quite a bit but was a bit too small and a tad underpowered for me. I got it from my Dad very cheap when it was only 18 mths old and hardly any miles on it, a deal way too good to pass up. At 92 he just couldn't drive anymore. He fell asleep driving his lawn mower and crashed over some brick lawn edging, so enough of that! Apparently, his lawn mower didn't have the eyesight safety system which is why he originally got the Crosstrek. My daughter's car died about the same time so I let her drive my old RX for a while until she could afford something else (I couldn't bring myself to let her use the almost new Crosstrek on principle). But she liked it as well, so once ready to buy something I let her buy the Crosstrek at a really good price as well and I swapped the RX for the NX. I thought about the Forester for a while, but it also seemed a bit underpowered and I just couldn't do it. I would have went for the 450h+, but didn't want to wait for years.

The AC is one thing that works as it should on my NX. I have the heated and ventilated seats set to Auto, sync and auto on. I can change the temp and adjust the fan speed and the AC remains on auto. Same on my Ridgeline, X6 and others.
