My NX450h+ vanilla car
My 2024 NX450h+ is the base model.
If I knew 2024 Executive comes with ML, no brainer but too late as 13 months of waiting was enough.
My 2020 NX300h served me well for the last 40+ months and replacing it with a NX450h+ is a must as I also own a Prius Prime for work and it is extremely efficient at 2L/100km 11.9kwh/100km since day 1 for 5yrs+ and still using it M-F 80kms round trip to work.
The only thing I really wish it had was the charging indicator near the bottom of the front windshield. I wonder if the RAV4 Prime has that? The 3 yrs app is free but after that you need to subscribe to see notification of the charging status
Unless I am missing something that I am not aware of?
I have installed a lvl2 charger with Wi-Fi that can tell me how much kwh consumed when it starts/stops while the Lexus app is missing this important feature. Also I can't stand the 12hrs charging time vs 2-3hrs on lvl2 otherwise a kilowatt meter was sufficient.
The EV/HV information could be better compared to the Prime. Unless Executive/F-Sport HUD have different types of information that the base model is missing? I wonder if OTA software can provide that.
Information that I couldn't find like when you start up your car, the kms driven starts at zero since start .. that way I know from A to B how much I have driven instead of resetting it to zero manually at every start. My NX300h had that.
They are cutting corners for 2022+ like the right side mirror does not dim at night when a high beam is behind you. The door handle does not light up for the back doors, only the driver/passenger side.
The base model does not have a front headlight washer.. My NX300h had.. those are little things they take it away from us and have to be upgraded.
It is so hard to test/feel since the pandemic as there is nothing available to shop around. I'd hope supply/demand will go back to normal in the next 3-5 years before I replace this one and I should be able to order something that I like and tested end to end.
Lexus needs to step up the game on EV.. PHEV is a good start but it has been a 5+ years technology since the Prius Prime came out. Many EV similar prices are available out there but as a Lexus fan, I will try to stick with it but never say never. I almost jumped to a Genesis GV60 but no 5k rebates over there
Lexus is still good on reputation/equity but if they cut corners for simple things that I have mentioned so far, the population will shift for sure.
The next 4 years, I will enjoy it as it is until then
Last but not least, I have mentioned this to Toyota when I got my Prius Prime that the HV/EV button should be added to the steering wheel as I use it a lot for local/highway driving, uphill/downhill for efficiency .. I guess this will never happen.
Cheers,

I have a 450H+ Base as well but haven't noticed a lot of the things you bring up. I have only had the 2020 Toyota Avalon Hybrid so I am not aware of the Prime items you discuss. As for the ML sound system, I've had it on every one of my ES models (5 or 6 total). I have never liked that upgrade. Felt like it was a waste of money in my opinion. But when you select the Ultra Luxury model it comes standard. Wasn't ever able to delete it. But to each his own. Having been a professional Sound Tech, there are other better choices.

Oh and the "Panoramic View Monitor" .. That is an option that I will not miss for my next version. The front camera for head in parking for certain scenarios would be nice but I back in most of the time.
