Just drove a 2024 NX350H,
Navigation disappointments - cannot rename favorites. Only option in edit from nav window or the phone app is to delete - Ehh?
Highway - where did the list of freeway exits and distance / time to exits go to?
Split screen - with 14 inches of screen space there is no option to spilt the screen (Yes I did see the post that third party aps can split the screen)
Each of these are available in my 2019 ES300H.
To me, it seems the nav/infotainment system took a big step backwards in this release.
If there are settings to allow these items - please let me know.
Rick

I started my career in the early 80s as a PC developer, and I know a lot about making software work with limited resources. Back in the day, creating manufacturing applications with 256K memory and a couple of 160K floppy drives. I remember being stunned seeing the first full colour photo capable computer display, the rags to riches of my first 20MB hard drive, the wow of multi-tasking OSs (anyone out there remember the old PC hack of terminate stay resident background apps on DOS?). And back then the programming languages were so basic, you had to code absolutely everything yourself. Programming languages these days have so much built in functionality that its easy to make something cosmetically nice, certainly the Lexus inferface looks pleasant, but if this was my project frankly, I would be embarrassed by the basicness of the functionality once you get over the cosmetic niceness. I've built more capability on my own with less resources 10-15 yrs ago than what I'm seeing here. I don't do hardly any coding these days, but I still dabble with interface design and I feel the great desire to kick butt whoever was responsible. So much wasted potential. I'm still hoping that Lexus intends to follow Tesla path and continue development of this system for past, present, and future; not ignore cars already on the road beyond simple bug fixes that seems to be the modus operandi of most other car manufacturers.
You can't rename favorites on Lexus nav because Google maps is the backbone of their nav system and designed by them . Same with Google maps on Android Auto .

Changed in 2020 and nobody seems to know the "why" but I'm sure there is a reason.
I've had Lexus's with Mark Levinson the last 15 years(IS,GS and now NX) and in my opinion this infotainment system is light years ahead of the clunky low resolution enform systems with the track pads I had. Their maps had to be updated on a SD card every couple of years on those.
I use Android Auto and everything works flawless so far and the ML sounds better then my last GS but not quite as good as my 07 IS. But I think it was like a $3500 option back then and you could only get it on the Luxury models .
Four months and I'm still in love with my NX350H. It's been perfect .......so far!

Very well said, Droid13!!
My response to the OP is: What??? The Lexus nav system isn't good?? I. Am. Shocked. That's why, with us having the small screen version, we don't pay for a subscription. We only need nav when we go out of town and if we should take the NX we'd use Android Auto.

I have never used or liked Apple CarPlay. But I learned this unable to rename favorites myself recently. I also like the way I can split screen in CarPlay. All of my addresses are already in Apple so I'm thinking I might as well start getting used to Apple CarPlay.
Besides the Navigation issues, we struggle to get the damn thing to know who's driving. I'll get in it to go somewhere and it says Hello to my wife. Can't get the damn thing to reset to me. So I have to shut it down and get out and lock it up. Give it a minute or so then do it all over and it works 98% of the time. This is my 6th or 7th Lexus. Have only ever owned ES's in the past. But due to knee issues I needed an SUV for the height. Love the car but NOT the new Technology.
