New NX have more issues?
It is the Autowatch Ghost 2. They are based in England.
Separate electronics, very small, professionally installed inside the car somewhere up inside the dash where no thief can find it. As for price, I can't comment as it depends where it's purchased from. Dealers seem to charge more. I got mine direct from the Canadian rep and he supervised the installation at a local high end car electronics shop. In Canada, an installer can't do the work until they get a full background criminal check from the police. These are installed in the local, provincial and national police forces vehicles as well as private folks like us. There was a glitch with mine when I had the car in for the first service and the dealership plugged the car into their computer. Mine was the first to exhibit this fault, so Autowatch learned, rewrote some code, reinstalled the firmware and it's worked fine ever since. You can no longer just jump in and drive though, requires you to press you selected sequence of buttons inside the car and then you can go. So it's a bit of a hassle, but the extra 30 seconds to a minute is worth it to me.

Returning to the original notion of this thread, in my experience with many premium and luxury badges over the span of decades, on these forums there is commonly far more grumpiness than cheer leading. What I'd say about the NX is there are far fewer complaints about things not working than any others in my memory. The technology is often a matter of learning the system which is very different than whether the windshield wipers are working. I don't have my NX350h yet so can't speak directly. But my current ride is a 2021 Volvo XC60 Inscription, loaded. I've had not a single issue with this car. But on the Volvo forum you'd think the car is almost junk. Which most owners in surveys say they's gladly buy again. I suspect a similar survey of NX owners would give an equal or greater level of endorsement.
I think, like someone said earlier, you have to drive one yourself to decide if you like it or if it's for you or not.
But I've had my 22 NXh for nearly a year now and I have no issues mechanically. Zero! It rides and drives as ours expected. That in itself is a testament to Howe well made the vehicle is.
With the infotainment, while many folks find it challenging, I have found it to be very good and very fluid. I work in tech with complex systems; make of that what you will. The only "issue" I've had is the wireless charger being finicky when it comes to charging my iPhone. My wife's Samsung charges effortlessly. And even then, it's no deal breaker; I can just as easily use wired charging.
If you ask a thousand people, you'll get a thousand opinions. Decide if it is for you and you can live with whatever shortcomings you see. If you try looking for validation from others, you actually might be making the choice harder.

I've owned my 22 NX 350 F-Sport for 10 months now and have no major complaints about the tech. Now granted I work in the IT field, so I was easier for me to learn all the new tech features of my NX. The tech was one of the selling points for me. Lexus has releases several updates now that have patched most of the major bugs of the new Lexus interface. I've heard that some older phones will frequently disconnect but any phone under 2 years old shouldn't have a problem. My Samsung galaxy s20 connects just fine and has only disconnected a handful of times.
My advice, do your research. There are plenty of in depth reviews and youtube videos that go into detail about the tech of any car you're interested in. If you're not tech savvy, perhaps don't buy a car packed with tech.
Overall I'm very happy with my NX. Oh and I love the new electronic door latching system. Some people don't like it but I love it and think more cars should adopt it. Its easier to push a button to open the door vs pulling a handle.
