Non ml full audio upgrade
Hi,
Nice work !!! I did change dash and front door speakers. Now I am looking to change the rear door speakers
The OEM speakers are 2.5 inch but I could find only 2.75 inch kickers online. How did you manage to fix KS series as oem speakers have 3 mount points, instead of 2 and 4.
Did you make your own adapter or buy online, could you share the link ? Would be really helpful.
Thanks

This is an excellent build ! Well done @Teasy010 I'm sure you're loving your setup.
I'm about to embark on the same 'journey' with my 450h+ and was hoping if you guys coule help me with a couple of questions pls.
1) Do we need all 8 speaker signal into a processor to get a full-spectrum ? Or can I just work with the high level from the Dash and front door speakers ?
For context , I'm looking at getting a Helix DSP. However there's quite a bit of a jump cost-wise from a 6x Hi-Level In, to the models with 8x Hi-level in.
If the front dash/door and sub is all that's required, then I can get away with a 6 channel In and put the money towards the comp speakers ( 3x Dash, 2x door and 1x sub).
2) Where do I tap the high-level signal from ? After the HU before the amp, or the signal out of the Amp ?
And there an adapter for this purpose available ?
3) Finally, the pic here shows the amp being under the console, however I read in another thread where it says the amp is at the back close to the battery. Is there perhaps a difference between models in regards with the amp placement ? i.e 350H vs 450H
Much appreciate the reply.
