Rear Bumper Removal
Hey folks,
I’ve been having issues with the driver’s side blind spot indicator intermittently stop working. Took it to the dealer and they want to remove the rear bumper and switch out the BSM sensor to see if the issue moves to the other side.
My question is: is it a difficult job for them to remove the rear bumper? I’m concerned about scratches, parts not aligning correctly afterwards, and any new rattles. Anything I should be on the lookout for or things I should have them do?

This is a routine job for a dealer. It's not rocket science and Toyota provides detailed instructions how to do it. It all depends if the person who does the job is careful or not. Take photos of the bumper to document any existing scratches. Once repaired, inspect the bumper and point out any new defects to the service advisor. If they break something, they have to fix it.
And no, removing bumper cover usually doesn't result in rattles.
