Last Thursday as we drove on a major highway in rush hour traffic, the car bucked a few times, and started slowing down. 3/4 full tank. I made it to the shoulder and got towed to the dealer. The error codes were "low fuel pressure". The codes were cleared and it was running again but they said it would likely recur because it has been an NX problem. $1400. When we got home we pulled out our repair folder and I had forgotten that 18 months ago it was recalled for that exact part. Apparently there was a huge Lexus/Toyota recall for the fuel pump. I only drove 8,000 over that 18 month period. I'd like to ask if anyone has had that happen. It seems like the replacement should have lasted more than 8,000 miles.

 

I would contact the dealership that did the recall and see what they can offer you, a recall repair should have a warranty that goes along with it.
