Exclamation HVAC AC Controls Operate Themselves

Hoping to see if this is a common issue, dealers setting, or a defect. I recently purchased a 2021 Lexus NX 300h. Really like it, but the AC/HVAC controls operate themselves. From blowing direct, to the feet/windshield. The "Auto" function button is off, and in the settings menu, the "Auto A/C Mode" is also off. Took it to the dealer, and they have no idea, to include this not being an issue that can be fixed via Dealer Techstream. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Dave

Auto would do this...I think there might be two different stages of auto though, full auto (light on) is blower speed and air direction. If you change just the blower speed, it might still redirect the air where it wants, and if you change where the air goes with that one button, it only adjusts fan speed. So if you want full manual, change both blower speed and air direction.

I've adjusted both, and it still seems to change when it wants.

Then ya, something screwy is going on...can you recreate it easily enough? If they can see it and know it's wrong, they should be changing the control unit for the HVAC system next.

Do the last 3 sections in this table match your observations?

That control mode should only be true for when the system is in auto mode though.
