Default How secure is HomeLink®?

Can anyone tell me if the HomeLink® buttons disable when the stock car alarm is triggered? I was wondering if someone broke in my car, they would be able to open the garage with it (and possibly my home? yikes!). I have a 2018 NX.

Nope, HomeLink is always on. I've noticed this case for many cars not just Lexus, but mostly Japanese cars. My Audi buttons go dead once the car sleeps. This is why I manually cut power to my opener after I lock up the garage.

At the same time, if they really wanted to get into your garage there are probably other ways to get in too.
