I normally don't buy stuff like this at all. But just recently bought some door hinge striker plate covers for our Solara. While looking at the Lexus, it already had these by default however, looking at the inside door hinges they are exposed and kinda not finished looking.
I am not affilated at all with them, they were the cheapest I could find on amazon. I think they range anywhere from $8-12 depending on where you are looking.
Needless to say for the price it's a nice little finishing piece. I also got an extra set for our Solara since Toyota/Lexus use the same exact hinges for MANY years/models. They simply just snap right on and cover the ugly hinge/bolt on the door.
Great find! On a related note, what grease would work great on the hinge before it gets covered?
You can easily remove these if you need to grease anything. Takes just a second to pop them off. Honestly though, with our Solara which use the same exact hinge, I've never greased anything and they are fine 13 years later..lol. I just covered them due to them looking salty after so many years, But no squeaks or any weird noises.
