My 2018 NX is showing "Maintenance Required Soon" on the dash screen every time I start the vehicle. I have never seen this before. It is only 4200 miles sine last oil change which was done by dealer. The dealer did reset the maintenance schedule, so the next maintenance schedule is still showing 5800 miles. Would it be possible dealer only reset my maintenance schedule, but did not perform the oil change so system detect the dirty oil? Dose anyone see this message before? Thanks.

 

There are 2 reminders and I can't remember exactly what they say. One is the maintenance reminder and one is the oil change reminder. You get a "checkup" every 5000 miles and an oil change every 10,000 miles.

 

Clearly I did not get this for my first 5000 miles. Do you know how to get rid of this message without reset maintenance schedule? I am not planning to bring the car in just for 5000 check up.

It's in the center of the speedo and tach. You have to scroll thru til you find it. I'm not near mine right now or I would tell ya exactly how. It's pretty simple though.

 

No worries, just let me know when you have a chance. Dose this just clear the message or reset engine oil maintenance data? I don't want to reset the oil maintenance data until I change the oil at 10000 miles.

 

you can clear each one specifically.

 

Just reset it.
I know that pain and it was discussed here before. Even if oil minder was reset, it'll still pop up. Ask Lexus, why.
