If a little is good then a lot must be better, right?

Oh my god, that is one ugly grille, here is another one. I hope this is not the future of Lexus:

Not a fan of the front grill assembly at all on Lexus. It's just getting too large. Both F-sport and non F-sport. This includes all models.
I feel the same with BMW's front grill. It's just gotten so large it's not appealing at all to me. Everything is not only in your face, but large and almost looks too bloated to me.

But they are all doing it. Apparently that's what the market wants and clearly it's selling... Such a shame. I liked when manufactures had decent proportions and things were more subtle. We don't have to go into a total sleeper status but just refining things down slightly would be nice.

OMG, I almost fell off my chair laughing when I scrolled down and saw the grills on the concept Lexus cars! Is it another safety feature where they are trying to freak people out who might suddenly drive into oncoming traffic?!

Unfortunately in today's society, shock value sometimes gain notoriety.

LOL. You get used to it. I didn't like it at first either, but after seeing it around, I came to appreciate it (good thing since I bought one). Now, I have come to like it. As is typical for Lexus, the F-Sport grill looks much better though.

Car and Driver reports that Ohio is now one of 20 states that no longer require a front plate to ruin the look of your NX...nice!

I still haven't been hassled by any law enforcement agencies for not having a plate, even though all the state I travel in require one. Just good luck? I doubt it. I just think police agencies have a lot more on their plates than plates...

I believe the grill made it's formal debut in 2012 with the GS, at least according to this wikipedia article.

"In 2012, the arrival of the redesigned fourth generation Lexus GS featured the introduction of a spindle-shaped grille design, intended to be used on all forthcoming Lexus models."
