At 40k miles/64k kms, it has a mandatory spark plug replacement as part of the warranty service as far as I know.

Thanks! Given the issue of carbon deposit, they may as well be replaced!

Sigh.
Carbon deposit is on intake valves, not on spark plugs. No one really knows, why they have to be replaced so soon. Or, why brake fluid has to be replaced at 35K miles. Which is total waste - but hey, you want warranty, got to play by its rules.

That sounds about right as cause for engine issues. As you definitely should have no carbon deposit, as that's exactly when 2ry injectors operate. But you overtax engine and turbo, that for sure.
