I agree, I have seen my share of German turbo chargers and intercoolers, they are much bigger. The NX was not build with performance in mind.

 

What has or what does the water/meth injection do and or add? Links please.

Thanks but that is pretty general. Where do most mount it on the 8AR-FTS engine? I usually like to mount right before the throttle body but I can't even see it on this engine since it seems the intercooler outlet is right in that area.

 

I was originally injecting pre intercooler because it was easy. But the heat-soaked intercooler was just undoing all of the cooling effects. So I took things apart and injected post intercooler.

 

What kind of power gains do you see with your setup?

I still have a couple years left on my warranty but definitely want to be ready. There is a ton of room in my GS200 engine bay for this. We have an NX also but I don't think my wife needs any extra boost in power, although I do like WI for its cleaning effects alone.

 

I did not dyno it so I can't show a HP change. I can tell you that it changed my 1/4 mile time from 16.1 seconds to 15.2 seconds on the same night. Did a run without (16.1) then turned it on (15.2). I have a thread I posted about it showing slips and everything. I was injecting using a Devil's Own progressive system with a DO3 nozzle.

 

Dang l, that sounds about right. A guy in the 4GS forum has a S/C'ed gs350 and IIRC he gained 60 hp from water meth injection alone after supercharging . Water meth injection and any sort of boost go together like cookies and milk. Plus it cleans the engine!
