Default Full Size Spare

My wife had a flat on her NX yesterday. I was wondering if a full size tire will fit in the spare tire well. I would like to replace the donut spare with a full size.

If memory serves me when I had the NX, I don't think so due to the width of the tire (225) vs spare (145?) would result in a raised cargo floor resting on the tire. You can double-check by measuring the depth of the well.

Thanks. They show a full size spare in the manual. I will shove the flat tire in and see how it fits.

A full size spare tire will fit under the floor without bumping the floor. I bought a 2009 RX350 wheel (18x7) and had a 225/60/18 tire installed in it. I had the trim the rear vertical plastic panel to allow more room for the tire. All of the foam has to be removed and the tire ends up supporting some of the floor. It is a nice piece of mind addition to the car.
