biggest problem Im seeing is that my wife is driving her 2017 fsport awd model too much as it has 10k miles now in what....maybe 6-7 months....crazy....no issues other than she loves it. I still hate the infotainment/nav...but so far rock solid. by comparison my wifes old 06 lexus had 120k miles in 12 years
... I think a member here complained about that before. The dealer updated the transmission software and it seemed to get rid of the problem.
I was told there is NO update for he trans, because I asked for it specifically after being told by the same guy there was one available during my previous visit. It could be related to the traction control system. The tech told me that the computer cuts back the fuel when it's going to shift. That could be it too, although it doesn't shift when this happens. He also suggested that I'm more aware of the shifts because it's an 8 speed transmission. It's a 6 speed. In the end, it just needs to be fixed.
Again, if not for this issue, I would be 100% satisfied with my NX. I love everything else about it, and it seems that my issue is unique. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this car to anyone else.

those with sluggish transmissions/shifts...I have owned cars in past with paddle shifters that have improved this issue, and the good thing is that if you forget to manual shift, the car still shifts for you so its still automatic to protect engine...however Im not sure about this engine, just something to try. maybe i will try it out when wife gets home from work, but I really dont have issue with nx other than normal turbo lag, boost spin up time.
I have the same issue with the transmission/engine hesitation. The car would act like the gears don't catch on a shift and more like a engine misfire than anything else. I noticed it more in stop and go traffic while in eco mode. Since 30k miles it's gotten more noticeable and I stopped using eco mode altogether. Is it the programming? Has anyone gotten a response from a dealer about this issue?
Lets see, voice commands are terrible even after going through the set up procedure twice. I don't have an accent (except that I come from Joisey). I never use the cars voice commands in the vehicle, Siri Eyes Free is much easier and very rarely gets anything wrong. The rear cargo cover rattles. Wind noise is horrible. Engine is quiet (when you don't have your foot on the gas pedal). Drivers seat does not always move forward to preset position when starting the vehicle. I could go on but not sure it will prove anything.
Had a dealer fitted tow bar fitted before delivery, only to find that the bar was made overseas, I live in Australia, and it was manufactured not square crocked as a dogs hind leg. The dealer ordered a replacement only to find the same problem, not the dealers fault they have tried their best, fault lies with Lexus Australia, their customer service is dreadful, problem reported 31/5/17, still no answer. Nice vehicle but total lack of customer support. Should have purchased the Subaru.
Beware when you order a vehicle with a tow bar, check it first. Good luck if you live in Australia.

Reason: more info
I feel like its the Nav screen.. when I go over bumps or rumble strips it rattles out of control. I hold the screen together with my hand, and the rattling seems to go away.
I’ve had the dealership check the screen twice and they’ve claimed to have insulated it better but it still rattles. I, too, hold it with my hand sometimes because it’s so annoying. Now I have a new rattle somewhere on the driver’s side but I cannot pinpoint it to save my life. I think it’s coming from the space above the steering column.
And, the worst rattle of all is the subwoofer in the hatch. They’ve insulated this as well but I notice that when my car sits in the sun for a while the rattle comes back.
Since this thread has been brought back from the dead, I’ve had two additional problems. The first is the screen delamination which the dealer replaced under warranty. The second is the left button on the mirror broke. It’s the one we use for the garage door. Instead of replacing the mirror, I programmed the center button for the garage door. So far, we are very happy with this car.
Moonroof motor replaced.
Moonroof squealing when activated after car being left in sun all day.
Same happened to my CT which required motor and gearset replacement.
Both completed under warranty.
I finally got the Vacuum Regulator Valve buzzing noise. When I talked to the tech he didn't seem to know about this problem. I had to point him to the TSB.

Can you please stick in a link or TSB here? I believe I have excessive noise from Vacuum Regulator Valve but cannot locate the source TSB. Thanks.
my wife nx/2015 has ~39000 miles. water pump replaced under warranty....isn't this too early to break down?? my concern is when the NX reach ~80000 miles, i'd may have to replace and pay out of own pocket!!
Thanks buddy.
My car is exhibiting the exact features outlined in this TSB. Warranty runs out in 10 weeks. Will be ringing service department tomorrow.
