gas mileage
I've just had my NX200t a short time, but seems to be getting 21.5 city driving and 24 highway. I drive 70-80 mph most of the time on highway and have been mostly in eco mode since I got it a month ago. Happy with mileage as RX300 was less with same size vehicle.
On a recent trip from Denton, Tx to Lafayette,La, the speed in the DFW area was held to 60 to 65 (speed limits). The mileage showed to be 30 MPG. When I got out of the city and the speed limits rose to 75, the mileage slowly dropped and finally settled on 25. The speed the car is driven has a major impact on the mileage. Those numbers were achieved in the eco mode.
Zooming around town with very little hwy we're lucky to see 20 mpg (calculated at fill up). Sport almost always and TOMs box installed. 200t awd fsport. Guess we have a couple of lead feet!
At any rate, your 750lbs of cargo is like have 6 people in the car including the driver. A lot of weight. I am surprised you got the mileage you did.
I run premium and get 23MPG mixed driving, and 28-30MPG pure highway. I have not measured MPG with 1/2 ton of extra weight.
I have read that high elevations where I live the octane level needed is lower...for example you can buy 85 octane gas at pumps. I have since used only premium on many a roadtrip/daily driving and the gas mileage is similar.
I've had my NX200T for almost 6 weeks. Currently averaging 9 litres per 100km, driving mainly in normal and sport mode with a little bit of Eco. Anyone else from Australia (or another country on the metric system)?
Im also using 95 RON premium.
Edit - just worked out that 9 litres per 100km is equivalent to 26.135 miles per gallon

I would say it makes a difference for sure. Not just better economy, but a smoother driving experience overall. Using cheap fuel really is a false economy. In Australia 95 RON is recommended for the NX200t (there's a sticker on the inside of the fuel cap). Not sure about the Hybrid. I'm assuming you guys in the US don't receive this recommendation?

I have used Plus 89 and Premium 91/93. I got about 5-7% BETTER on MPG using the Premium but it costs 20% MORE expensive (about $0.45 - $0.55 more per gallon). At 9025 miles I am averaging at 25.1 mpg for my '17 FSport AWD. For the last 4000 miles I only use Plus 89 octane.
Usually gas at Shell Power V-Power 93 octane +Nitro ,
The best I got was 8.3liters/100km at 120km/h (wind off the back and downhill),
Averaging at 8.5liters/100km at 120km/h with 89 octane carefull driving
Worst fuel economy came from Petro Canada ultra 94 with 9.1liters/100km average.

After almost 2 years, mileage is stuck at 9.8 litres/100kms. Almost 70% motorway driving. Only use 95 RON even though E10 is acceptable (94RON).
For a modern turbo engine the fuel use is disappointing. If you check the Fuelly website you'll notice each of the Lexus 2t models (IS,RC,RX) have pretty dismal fuel use compared to their 3.5 litre V6 cousins.
A friend at work with a new X1 2 litre turbo is averaging in the 7l/100kms.
