Default How to switch off cabin light when locking the car?

Hi everyone, is there a way for the rear passengers light in the cabin to switch off automatically when I exit and lock the car ? The reason is that my son always wants it on when it's night and I keep forgetting to switch it off, I have noticed that it doesn't switch off by it self even after an hour..

thanks,
Philip

The manual has this comment:

Front Light
Turns the light on/off (touch the light)

The rear interior light also turns on/off.
However, when the rear interior light
has already been turned on, it will not be
controlled by front interior light operations.

I wonder if by overriding the link by manually turning on the rear light, it overrides the battery protection offered when the front light goes out after 20 minutes and breaks that link until the rear is manually turned off? Mine does go out after 20--sometimes I'll hit it as I close the sunroof and don't realize I did it. Never manually turned on the rear light, except when I first got it and it was off.

Likewise, the manual has this:
If the (rear) light is turned on by front interior
light operation, the rear interior light
cannot turn off by pressing the switch.

Could be you can't get it to work as you want.

Thank for your reply, I ve read the manual and doesn't say anything about it. I ve checked the menu and haven't found anything also.. I do switch on the rear light manually from the back seat and exit the car after a long period and keep forgetting the light on. It never goes off.. or at least after an hour that I have checked it hasn't .. Will this drain my battery.. Or because it's led its not so much of a problem ...

Probably not much of a problem until the battery gets older, or if you have a lot of short trips and don't get to fully recharge it. The quotes are from the US manual for a 2015.
