Default Blind spot detector mod

I am wondering if it is possible to add a sound to the blind spot detector on the NX300h. When there is a car in the blind spot, the indicator lights up in the external mirror. When you also have your turn signal on, the indicator flashes in the external mirror instead of just being lit. I have seen many other cars (Mazda CX-5 for instance), where the indicator lights if you don't have the turn signal on but emits a warning beeping sound if you do have the turn signal on. I find that a much better warning system as it will definitely attract your attention more than a flashing icon if you are distracted. I realize that one should not be distracted but the idea is to prevent accidents in case you are!

I am wondering if anyone has a copy of the electrical diagram of the NX so that I can see if there is a way to pick-up the BSD flashing signal somewhere to trigger a beeper? Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

my BSM beeps when there is a car and I am changing lanes. Is your BSM button pressed/turned on? Its on the left lower side.

Below is the manual page (from online) that discusses this. It implies to me that the buzzer will only sound if you're in Reverse. I have never heard the buzzer while driving and I know I've signaled a lane change when there was a car next to me!

Hmmm. Manual doesn't really say it beeps.
Another poster on Lexus forum says:

They only beep under specific circumstances. The blind spot monitor will only flash orange when a car is in your blind spot, but if you hit your turn signal while someone is in your blind spot, it will beep at you. Similarly, the cross-traffic alert will only beep if you're in Reverse and a car is approaching.

I sware I heard it beep when I was trying to change lanes when I first got the car. If it beeps, you are only few seconds from an accident unless swift action is taken.

Need to wait for others to chime in.

Well I understood it the same as 15LexNX2t, the beeps are only when in Reverse. I have tried on purpose putting my flasher when a car was next to me and I only got the flashing icon, no sound. I wish I could find a way to make it work the same as the Rear Cross Traffic alert when the flasher is on...

I have found that with the side mirrors properly adjusted, my NX200T has no blind spot. I can see a small car as it travels from the rearview mirror to the side view mirrors and the back of the car is still in the side mirror when it comes into view though the side window. My car came with the blind spot lights but I find them a bit distracting so we have turned them off
