Just got my winter tires installed this weekend.
Yokohama IG51 225/65/17's on F-Sport

Where did you get them from and how much did they cost? Did you get the TPMS?

I got them from Exclusive Wheel and Tire in Ajax. Tires were 660+HST (and a 70 or 80 dollar rebate). And yes, I did get TPMS too. That was another 240.

 

That sounds like a pretty good deal. How much were the wheels?

 

The guy at Lexus showed me the small yellow light with a "!" in a circle that will come up when you run wheels without sensors. He claimed there will be a short sound that only happens at start up.

If that's really all that happens Im keen to run oftermarket 20in rims but I dont want to do it if it constantly makes some annoying sound and has something flashing at me the whole time.

BTW.. I had to put the wheel caps on myself as they apparently are not allowed to put the OEM caps on aftermarket wheels? No big deal, it took about 2 minutes to do all 4.

 

Nice rims. Good to see 17" rims could fit with NX with AVS as your 15' F-Sport NX is Series 2 that comes with AVS, correct?

If that is the case, what was described in the 15' NX "New Car Features" was not always true as it says "17 in. tires cannot be used on models with an AVS since the appropriate clearance with surrounding parts cannot be ensured".

 

I asked before the installation and was told that there was no problem installing 17s'. The fsport 2 does have AVS and I have not noticed any difference at all. I always drive in Fsport 2 mode as well.

 

On this car you have to put 17 inch wheels. They are look very nice and streamlined. This is the best choice for the winter .
