Default Hud?

For those NX owners with Heads Up Display, does the image appear straight on the windshield or does it seem off? The display on mine seems off especially when the Eco meter or RPM Guage lines the bottom. It appears to be tilted up on the left side. In any event, I have my one month check up at the dealer next week and looking for some feedback. I took a photo with my camera flat on the dash to provide a straight point of view of what I am seeing. I'm curious if this is normal or not. I can't seem to find any info anywhere else.

I remember the RX had a slight tilt to the display but didn't notice the tilt on the NX. I'll observe and take a pic tomorrow.

deeohenn, mine has a slight tilt but not as much as yours from your pic above. To eliminate any reference-point errors, line up the camera as you see below, take a pic, re-post, and let's compare.

Claude, I too thought it was straight until I really analyzed it and took the pic with a horizontal reference point (line in the TFT display). Mine is slightly tilted just like I had in the RX. For the benefit of consistently comparing and validating this curious characteristic, can you take the same pic I did and post? Merci!

Here's one (not mine) on the RX like what I had.

Genius. I'll get to that soon and post based on the reference point given on the tft.

I tried taking a pic during the day but wasn't getting it clear. I decided to wait till it got dark. But may have waited to long. I took a bunch but seemed to get different results depending on the height/tilt angle using the referenced line. Anyhow, here is the one that I feel best demonstrates what I am seeing when behind the wheel using the reference line from your shot.

They look similar. Mine does look a bit more tilted. Hopefully others will have some feedback. I did sit in another NX and found it to be much straighter then both of ours.

Yours looks a touch more tilted than mine, but personally I feel it's "normal" based on my experience. Even some other cars seem to have a tilt. It might just be because of the way the windshield glass is curved. If it bothers you still, you can always get it checked out at your next service appointment.

That's very odd that its slightly leaning. The HUD I have in the Camaro is entirely flat. I can take a picture if you'd like, but I doubt it will contribute to your conversation.

If you look down into the projector housing, you should be able to find the screws that hold is mounts in place. If you're adventurous, you should be able to loosen it slightly, bump it up, and then retighten it down. I would recommend finding the torque settings as well just to make sure it holds strong.

I have tried looking into the housing from the outside of the windshield and not much to see there. Have a dealer appointment next week and have already advised them of the concern. They said they will have a look at it during the one month inspection. l will also try to step into others to see how they appear. Keep you posted.
