switch off day lights ?
Do note that in some countries the DRLs can not be turned off, so the rotary switch on that stalk is different.
In the US we use a "Type A" stalk, where the bottom position is DRL OFF. On "Type B" stalks, that position is just marked with a O, which is DRL ON. I do not know which countries use the Type B stalk.

guys you are both right. I know its for safety measures. Also have in mind that this feature was firstly introduced by countries like the Scandinavian countries which don't have a lot of light during the day... In our country you won't even notice them since the sun is always shining and its very bright. Personally i don't like them so much so i would prefer to have them switched off if possible.

That being said, if you don't want them on because you don't like them, that is totally your choice. I don't know where that is in the menu's off hand though, sorry.
