Question about Road Noise
Coming from several Lexus including three past RXs which got quieter in the latest gen, the NX is as quiet as the the quietest Lexus I've owned, namely the current gen RX regarding road noise. However, wind noise at higher speeds is not as quiet thanks to the buffeting noise heard at higher speeds heard around the driver's side window (due to the single pane in the NX vs double-pane lamisafe glass in the RX).
In short, from my personal experience, the NX is quiet but echoing some of the comments, tires play a big role in road noise and although the Bridgestone Dueler H/L 33 are new tires, they are "sport street truck" summer tires, typically engineered with a focus on handling performance over all else.
I'm on 20" 255 wide Yokohama Parada Spec-X and the road noise is very quiet echoing all the positive reviews on this tire. I highly recommend this tire which even comes in the OEM NX sizes of 225/60/18 or 235/55/18.

How would you rate the sidewall on this tyre versus stock? Do find the stock tyre pressure recommendation where the front and rear running exact psi or kpa the ride can be slightly on the jittery side from the rear when no passengers are carried when driving over small undulations in quick succession. "Probably also due to the shorter wheelbase on the NX"
I tried 260kpa front and rear, 250kpa front and rear, 230kpa front and rear and do feel my personal preference and to be at 240kpa front and 230 kpa rear for a balance fuel efficiency , driveability and slight improvement to the ride.
May I check the switch over to Yoko Parada spec x do you feel the tyre noise is reduce immediately?

I haven't tried a lower pressure at the rear but sounds like a good idea since I agree the rear can get a little "jumpy" over speed bumps for instance.
I'm looking forward to changing the tires later in the year and putting on much quieter and more fuel efficient all season tires.
I also have an F Sport with the summer tires. Even though I feel that the car could be quieter, I realize that most of the noise is road noise from the tires. when I'm on the phone people have commented on it.

I also the bridgestone duelers.
I'm looking to put on the bridgestone ecopia's. They are a LRT that's supposed to help with mpg. They are extremely quiet.
I had put them on my previous car, camry se, swapping out the worn sport tires. And boy did they make a difference. The ride was much, much quieter and I got about a one to two miles extra on my mpg.
I'm averaging about 24 mpg now and I figure with the ecopias I should get north of 25 mpg...plus a better, quieter ride.

Test drove the F-sport and it was noisy. (Coming from an 2IS and 4GS with Michelin tires), I think the Dueler is the issue. We plan to order the F-sport this week, will specify that the Dueler be replaced by the Michelin and we do not mind paying the extra cost.
The road noise improves marginally once the tyre scrubs in after a couple of hundred KMs.
summer tires are softer and absorb more road noise and bumps
