Yes, get it.
I "ordered" it, and a week later the dealer found a car with all the options I wanted that was already on the boat (translation: a car was redirected from another dealer). Now, most of the Luxury Package and F cars in NJ have them.

I say definitely get it.

Despite some of the admonitions above, it augments your own ability to safely navigate your vehicle; it does not replace "looking around" as we were all taught to do.

Hey Drtbk4ever, did you figure out if the intuitive park assist was the equivalent to the front and back up sensors on the Canadian models? I too can not find the park assist on the F-Sport Series 1 package. Was it just named differently??

Intuitive park assist = Clearance and backup sensors. F-Sport Series 1 has this feature.

Not sure about the F sport, but our Non F sport NX has park assist. The button is located on the lower left part of the dash just a co your left knee.

For anyone who hasn't used the sensors before, it's good to know where that button is.

Every once in a while in the winter you may get false readings from light snow blocking the sensors and you'll be glad you know where that button is to turn off the system

I love having them for my wife especially. Tight fit in the garage and every little bit helps.

The active lane control was not available on any NX's in our market (anyone have this??) and I do regret not getting it. Not the biggest deal but when I'm highway driving I do miss it.

Point is, if you have the time to wait and want the sensors hen I would suggest ordering. You'll have the car for a while so why not enjoy it the way you want it?

Yes, I miss the lane departure warning that I had on the Highlander. It was great on trips.

That bothers me a bit that they didn't offer the lane departure system in my market. Why claim you offer an option when customers can't get it. Lexus should have just packaged the parking assist, collision system, lane departure system, and blind spot monitor into a safety package where vehicles get all or none. Most looking for the safety features will want all of them.

everyone should get it because it's a $500 option that will pay for itself if you avoid backing into someone just once.
