Smile Great post, question about factory package or not

I'm not sure if this is because trailer lights would overload the circuit or if in the computer controlled vehicle systems world if extra current from a trailer would be more than what the vehicles computer was expecting and cause some sort of issue. Either way all of the harnesses available that I know of for the NX require a wire to the battery for power.
Thanks so much for the info! This is probably an ignorant question, but did your NX have any factory installed electrical package for towing that you connected to, or were you installing fresh? I read where some models have the electrical and some don't. Thanks

Can anyone help me with some advice for installing trailer wiring on my 2016 NX 200t? I paid for a feature that said Tow Ready, but no one can really tell me what that got me. Is there any easy way to wire this? I already purchased the Curt Trailer Wiring harness.

Thanks for your help!

I had the same question. They told me it was a transmission cooler. Mine had the package that said tow ready as well but it didn't have any towing hardware.

I have a separate post on this https://www.clublexus.com/forums/nx-...l#post10020445 listing what is included per Lexus hq. It does not include any of the hardware of the wiring harness, for the price of what Lexus charges you are way better off getting the harness and hitch you need from etrailer.com, and paying about 15% of the lexus cost.

The Curt 13337 hitch that is currently specified for my 2017 NX200t does not fit.

This was exchanged for a Draw-Tite 75956 hitch that does fit the vehicle.
