Well he did get back to me again and apologized. He said he could do the custom harness. He said he forgot he did one previously.

Anyone know if a RAV 4 mirror (with homelink) would work (plug and play) since it is in the same family?

So it's a "YES" he makes a plug and play adapter for a Gentex mirror on a 2016 NX200t? No run needed to battery/ground etc?

Hi from Spain, Lexus NX does not come with Homelink here.

I have bought the same 536 as you said before. And have contacted Bob for the Harness (coincidentally, i asked an ebay user about a harness and it was him!!).

However, I am learning a lot from homelink in a try&fail basis.

No i have discovered that US and Europe uses different frequencies for their openers. My house opener is 868,35MHz and although in the European web it appears as compatible, it seems this compatibility is for the EURO honelink.
I have contacted Homelink and they say I can install a Universal Homelink Receiver (somehow like you compatibility bridge, see here: http://www.shopssl.de/epages/es10567...oducts/PR433-4)

BUT it appears this so-called universal receiver only works in the 433MHz band, NOT compatible with US homelink (the mirror I bought). Couldnt it be more complex?

I request help, is there any option for me? Maybe a "universal receiver" in a US-blessed band?

Thanks a lot.

I know this is an old thread, but reaching out again to those who have successfully replaced their OEM non-Homelink Auto dimming mirror for one with the Homelink built in. What is involved here to make the swap? There is a reference to a custom harness - does this connect between the new mirror and the current mirror wiring? Or do you have to run wires around the car headline/A-frames to make it work?

Default Retrofit Homelink Completed!

I contacted Bob's Mirrors as referenced from this thread and he was able to sell me a gently used Homelink/Auto dimming mirror for $159 - no wiring or mods required - plug and play to the existing harness of the NX! He is very easy to work with and highly recommend him for your mirror needs. Now the wife will be much happier with the homelink feature!
