There's a light for the center compartment under the hinge area - the opening where the light shines thru isn't covered in mine. I just noticed that today. So if I was a slob and filled that compartment, stuff can fall thru the opening.

Is it just a hole for everyone else, or is mine missing some clear plastic cover?

The hole in mine is in is about 1/4 the size, or less, then the hole in your photo. There is just enough room for the light to shine through. It's about the size of a pencil eraser.

Yeah, mine definitely is bigger than a pencil eraser. I never even noticed the light until last night, then what I looked, was surprised it looked like that. I'll ask to look at another NX next time I'm at the dealership.

Mine has no lens. It appears to be a very small bulb like maybe a LED ?

I can fit my finger in the hole in between the LED and felt lining. Looks like typocl's.

Time for a DIY?

well, guess I don't need to bother the dealer to look at another one. Wouldn't mind the light being a little brighter.
