This may be a stupid question, but the manual says there are grocery bag hooks in the back of the car. I have searched around though and I don't see anything. Is this not present on the N. American version?
Yes it is there, it is on the rear side beams, where you hook the cargo net. They are one in the same as the hooks for the cargo net. They are molded in to the plastic, kind up just below the window level, so up fairly high.
I will add that I really like the cargo net for the NX. In the past cargo nets have usually stayed in my garage as fairly useless. But this one you can slip items inside it and it holds them....its almost like a net basket. I've used it several times already.
Ah okay. That explains it. I did see those hooks because my car came with the cargo net. I just didn't realize it was also the bag hooks. I'll have to try them out. In the diagram in the manual they made them appear as if they were in the middle of trunk space (which makes a little more sense) and not at the end toward the window.

Maybe these will help you - I miss my '14 Jeep Grand Cherokee all the time - it had 6 hooks (4 that were in the back of the back seats and 1 on each side, which were different from the cargo net thing-a-ma-jig) What it lacked in reliability, it made up for in luxury, options, and a great interior.
