grinding noise when braking?HELP!

You are not alone! I bought a 2016 NX 200t recently; it has 2600 miles on it. My wife slowed down to turn into our driveway and she heard this grating, noise. Sounds like metal on metal screeching. We had it towed to the Lexus dealer. Of course now it's not making noise.... They've had it 2 days. I'll let you know what happens.

A pebble lodged next to the rotor can make quite the screeching noise. I had that happen once and my dad (a mechanic) told me to back up a few feet to see if it clears. Sure enough, it dropped right out and it was just a tiny pebble. Something to try if anyone else runs into this... might save the cost of a tow.

i have this same grinding noise when braking at slow speeds < 15 mph. It is also reproducible 100% of the time. Dealer sat in car with me and confirmed the sound but cant figure out what it is exactly. I'm hoping all other NXs also have this, but seems like not many others are reporting this.
