Qi charger
See what you are saying. But in the end I think the location of the charing device is terrible, it makes the console useless or at least difficult to store anything. Other than that, my Apple phone maintains a charge all day and I've never had a need to charge it while in the car.
Lexus has issue to make all the space so small... phone is getting bigger & bigger, no where to put my 6s Plus... and also don't understand why Apple still not make the phone support wireless charging...
Over the weekend I decided to abandon further use of a Qi case on my iDevice. The ridiculous "Device not supported" errors finally got to me, as did the slow charging times. Also, my Qi-enabled windshield mount broke, which was the final straw. I never put my phone in the center console anyway.
As someone previously mentioned, if you extend the main armrest lid open beyond where it normally stops (open it to 90°) then the wireless charger tray will also go up to 90° and stay in that position, out of the way.
I don't want to have to get it out of the way every time I'm looking for something in the center console. Seeing that I'm not using it and have no plans to use it I would prefer to remove the tray and not have to deal with it.
I'm afraid there is no easy way to remove the wireless charging tray, so a small consolation is the ability to at least have the try stay up, out of the way, while rummaging through the main storage area.
The charger is removed, so all I have now is a tray. Don't know if you saw the picture I posted of the bottom of the tray. That pin is the only thing keeping the tray in. If I can figure out how to release it, the tray is gone. I will continue to contact Lexus until they help.

Only like five or six screws under the tray and a simple plug. With the charger removed, it lightens the load and the tray won't keep going down. Once I figure out how to release that pin, to remove it I'll post that.
