That's a NX 300h right? Goes to say that I don't think Hybrid technology is where it needs to be. The environmental cost of producing, maintaining and recycling the additional motors, batteries and control system will never be offset by the saving in Fuel and resulting emissions for going Hybrid. I digress, let's return to our normal scheduled programing.

 

Well point taken. For peace of mind in a pinch I want to know how far I can go when the gauge and warning lamp tells me to refuel. So when the NX says I'm done I've got 20% fuel in the tank still. At least based on the first fill.

I will try this again a after a few more fills and more normal driving conditions to see if it is replicated and then no less that 1/4 tank!! That is until a retrofit comes along where water IS a good thing in the tank.

Am I one of the only people who bought this car and honestly didn't give any care as to the mpg?

 

Well from my point of view I had to care for a couple of reasons:
First, as a company car we arent allowed to hav higher emmisions than 120g/km(mine is 117g), actually I think the NX is the only car with automatic gearbox and 4wd capable of this. The other point is the gasprices here in sweden. Right now its 13,79SEK/liter converted its 6,064USD/gallon...

 

Please don't take what I said as singling you out or anything. I personally have that train of thought every time I look at this thread. Its a personal thing of course, in regards to your level of concern about mpg. Now sweden, with their shrewd hatred of cars (Jeremy Clarkson said it...not me lol), I can understand your need to be concerned with efficency of the car.

For me, I just pick a car I love the appearance and drive of. When do I get gas? When the car needs it. I personally have no concern over the gas mileage. I remember my grandparents had a 2004 Envoy that I loved to drive, and that thing required gas every time you drove it lol.

 

excellent figures... you should go down by another 0.5l with nicer weather and as miles stock up.

 

it seems to be nicely opening up with more miles and nicer weather... i would be very happy with 7.5l average personally for this kind of vehicle (heavy+suv)

 

Definitely, winter is over here and consumption has dropped considerably. I'd say a 25%, although it seems a big figure for me.

 

Reset my MPG after refueling my tank before a roughly 130 mile round trip. 85% highway and 15% city.

My 300h is reporting 38.3 MPG. Super happy about it. LOVE MY CAR!!!!!!!

 

This is great and as the warmer temps rise (pre-A/C season though), expect your best MPGs. I bet in city driving (where electric mode is more often utilized), you can hit 40 MPGs. Let's see it happen!

 

The A/C was on 70% of my trip I was also using the ventilated seat function in 50% of the trip.

What really impressed me is that with A/C + Ventilated seat function engaged and driving Highway I hit 36.8 MPG (with my AWD the estimated rate is 30 so that was very great), got in the city still using those two functions and my MPG went up to 39.8 MPG. More city driving and I would have hit 40 for sure.

 

after 256 miles on my 1st tank of gas I went for my 1st fill up. I had a little under a quarter tank left.

The computer said I was at 21 mpg but my calculations were aboout 22.15 mpg

I have the NX200T AWD with Luxury package.

Driving was a mix of highway and local. Some of the highway driving was in heavy traffic that was stop and go.
