My back windshield was smashed last week and I had it replaced the next day. It seemed fine, but 2 days later I started getting notifications that my trunk was open even though it wasn’t. I checked for debris and glass, found a few small pieces and removed them but the issue continued. Today I realized the trunk is closing but it’s not latching.

Now I’m wondering if the issue is related to the windshield replacement since there was nothing wrong prior to that. I plan to take it to a mechanic but I can’t get there until Friday. Is there anything else I can do or check on my own or something I’m nog considering?

I did also notice that there is a slight squealing when trunk lowers, along the left arm.
