2019 NX300
Wondering if anyone knows if this is normal for the turbo engine.
Oil level is good. No check engine light or stored codes

Every time you start up it makes this noise but if you listen to the end it goes away. Almost like vvt issue? Got about 75k miles on it

Funny you should mention this and I see a post on it.

I did have something similar happen the other day and thought nothing of it after the sound went away or went back down.

We were about to leave and I wasn’t in the car yet but the hubster had backed it up out of the garage to wait for me. As I approached the car I thought it sounded like it was revving too high, so I paused to listen… and then when I was going to get in the car it went back down to normal again and I haven’t noticed it again since.

We have a 2020 NX300 Lux with 35k miles on the clock. We just had the 35k miles service on 9/23, and nothing was out of the ordinary, so I just chalked it up to maybe having not driven it for a few days as we drive other cars. I haven’t noticed it since that day, but I will pay attention next time we drive it to see if it does it again. If it does, I will either edit this post or make another one — If it doesn’t, I’ll leave this as is.
