Hello my Lexus comunnity,
I want to install a trailer hitch on my NX t200 (2016), mainly because of the bike rack.
Should I go to the dealer? What hitch should I get? What do you suggest?
Normally, I wouldn't go to the dealership, but we've just moved to the Boston area and don't know any mechanic shops. If anyone can suggest a good local mechanic shop in the north of Boston, that would be sooo cool too.
There are a number of trailer hitches available for your vehicle from RockAuto's website. No drilling req'd and 20 mins. install time according to RA. If you're only mounting a bike rack to the hitch, a class I or II hitch is more than enough for your purpose.

I look forward to your suggestions, as always.
If you want to stick with OEM here are the part numbers below
I usually go thru Bell Lexus (AZ) or Treasure Coast Lexus (FL) as they offer FREEShipping and NO Sales Tax which is a huge bonus for me as my local sales tax is over 10%.
The Tow Hitch is pricey, but there are usually sales around holidays and seasonal events. They just had a big sale over 4th of July, and will probably again around Labor Day.
Whatever you decide, I hope it all works out for you

I wouldn't go oem for just a bike rack you will end up spending $1k+ just for a bicycle. Etrailer has curt or draw-tite hitches that will do the job for ~$200 and less than 30 min to install. I have a drawtite on for about 7 years now and going strong, the drawtite tucks up a bit better than the curt if you are going for a minimalistic look. Here are a few shots of the draw-tite, 20k miles and it has towed the camper up mountain passes in Banff Canada, through Big Bend in Texas and multiple trips to Phoenix from the Midwest
