Default Theft attempt

Almost lost it, luckily heard them and brought out the 2nd Amendment 🙃 They tried to pop out the sunroof, lots of damage.

WOW — was this from your driveway or on street parking?!
And all for a sunroof… my gosh — you can’t make this $h!t up it’s just getting worse how bold “people” are getting these days

What a relief having your insurance cover it and glad you’re okay.

On street parking, our garage is inaccessible at the moment because we are getting our alley redone. The police said gaining entry through the sunroof is the popular way to do it nowadays, the alarm won't go off, I'm sure they meant to take the car with canbus hack. In the future it looks like I'll be installing a shock sensor and some kind of canbus blocking mechanism. My car isn't new its a 2016 with 84k on it, I have a lot of work done to it for towing and powering my camper, so would be up set if it walked away. Not to mention its paid off!

Oh — now I feel stupid!! OF COURSE it WASN’T just for the sunroof!!

When you said “Almost lost it”, I was thinking in terms of anger, although I’m sure that was also the case.

Okay, with all the extras you’ve got I can see why it was targeted — I just wasn’t thinking there’s a whole market for luxury vehicles…

I’m used to hearing co-workers getting their KIAs stolen and that like.
Call me sheltered and whatnot but I’m always thinking of sporty sedans that can be supped up for the younger generation being targeted.
Oh well… NOW I’m aware of anything and everything goes!!
