Is it worth it to buy? NX300h from 2017
Hi there,
I am thinking of buying a NX300h from 2017 with 70.000 kms, always serviced at Lexus, from the father of a friend of ours. The car is pristine, and the model is called Corporate, so not many gimnics. The price is around 20-22k€. I would like to know your feedback.
I have also noticed that the infotainment does not accept Android Auto. Is there a way to add it?
Is it worth to buy such car or it begins to be old? It would be my first hybrid and my first Lexus.
Thanks much in advance!

I am not familiar with the Corporate Trim Level, but here in North America the base trim is called 'Base.' Assuming your vehicle is a Base Trim, with around 35,000 miles. The current exchange rate makes your Euro Price around $23,000 USD. If that is correct and your vehicle has been dealer serviced all of its life, the price is very good. Here in the US, depending on the dealer, we would pay about 20% more. So, if the features are acceptable for you as is the fuel economy, yes it is worth purchasing,
For your second question concerning Android Auto, there are several aftermarket retrofits available that will add Android Auto for your vehicle. Depending on your screen size, it might be easier to do a full screen swap to a larger size with integrated Andoid Auto. If AA is really imnportant to you, you should get th VIN number and consult an aftermarket car audio company in your local. One thing to note, our 2021 NX300h has both Android Auto and Lexus Navigation. Personally neither my wife nor do I use the AA. We find the Lexus Navigation system much better. Plus, the Lexus system infotainment does a great job handling text messages, phone calls, music playback that is just as good as AA. So, really, for me it is about the maps, which I find Lexus Navigation preferable.
For your final question is it worth purtchasing, Your vehicle will be trouble free for many years. Based on the experience of most owners, you will get ten years without spending any money other than oil changes and tyre replacement. I wouldn't worry about the hybrid battery. It will probably outlast the car. As far as I am aware, my local Lexus Dealer has yet to replace an NX300h Hybrid Battery. Finally concerning resale, I am not sure about Europe, but here is America Lexus Vehicles hold their value very well. Let me give you an example using our recent totalled 2010 HS250h. At the time of its collision, it had 115,000 miles (186,300 KM) on the odometer and it was nearly fiften years, The insurance company gave us $15,100 for its total loss value. We purchased the vehicle in 2014 for $24,100 USD. When we purchased the vehicle it was three years old and had 34,000 miles (55,000 KM) on the odometer. Thus we owned the car for ten trouble-free years and ended on spending $9,000 USD in depreciation costs. You NX300h will probably retain a higher value since it is a more sought after model on the second hand market.

Hi 850R,
First of all many thanks for your detailed reply. I think that the Corporate is one level above the Base level form what I have found.
Resale price also is quite high in Spain. I get a better deal for this one because is from a know person, but usually a similar car is about 2-3k more at least, so I think price is rally good.
My concern was about the age of the car, but if you tell me that reliability wise seems all good, then I already have a good idea. If the battery will probably outlast the car, then this also gives me peace of mind. Form what I have read around the internet, the car has almost usually no issues, and this is something that I am also looking for.
Thanks again
