Shifter moves freely
Hi all -
Recently picked up a 17 NX200t that has been great so far, around 87K on it. Car has a few hiccups and quirks but nothing crazy.
I just found the shift lock no longer engaging when my foot is off the brake or the car is off. It is as though the override is constantly depressed, though I am still able to push further down on the override button itself. Weird considering this problem usually manifests itself as the car being stuck in park.
Has anyone ever experienced anything like this or know if Techstream can pick up onto the status of the shifter? Some googling seems to suggest other models have a small ECU for the shift lock, not sure if that’s the case with these cars.
